Stress is something you rarely see coming.
One minute you’re contentedly watching your favourite show or tip-tapping on your keyboard.
The next, after a poorly-worded email pings unexpectedly into your phone, you’re stressed to the max.
Your heartrate’s up
Your skin’s crawling
Your head feels like a pressure cooker
Stress can be a major problem for solopreneurs. The buck stops with you. If you can’t work effectively, there’s no-one else around to pick up the slack.
If you don’t nip stress in the bud, your productivity’s going to nosedive. And so will your earnings.

5 Simple Steps to De-Stress
You need to tackle stress head-on.
Acknowledge it. Accept it. Then do something to alleviate it.
Here’s a simple approach I use:
1. Turn off your device (after reading this!) and fold your hands in your lap. Resist the urge to immediately pick it up again.
2. Close your eyes and take 10 slow, deep breaths. Listen to the sound of each one entering and leaving your body.
3. Stand up, go outside and walk slowly around the garden, still breathing slowly. Take in the various sights, sounds and smells in your immediate environment.
4. Drink a tall glass of water, sipping rather than gulping. Don’t think about how long it’s taking to finish it. Drink it slowly.
5. Sit back down, repeat step two, and leave your device turned off for as long as you can.
Treat yourself like a machine
Just like you would with a glitchy internet router, you’ve given your brain a chance to reset. It needs it sometimes.
You can return to your task with clear eyes (and a full heart - can’t lose, right?).
Stressed out as a solopreneur?
Reset. And go again.
Easy practical and effortless. Sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference but we under estimate it. Thanks David
