And can you tell who did? Of course you can.
ChatGPT has a ton of great uses (research, planning, organisation), but writing strong content isn’t one of them. Or at least, it’s pretty far down the list of things it’s ok-ish at doing.
I’ve read quite a few social media posts of late that clearly came straight from the mouth of an artificially-intelligent entity. And they’ve all been pretty sucky.
Generative AI mostly produces what’s known as “slop” these days, and the internet’s full of it now. It’s naff, it’s boring, and it’s probably not going to convince your followers to invest in what you’re offering.
Unless they’ve had their heads stuck in sand the last two years, they’ll know they’re not reading human-written words. Or they’ll suspect, at least.
My advice? If you aren’t a confident or creative writer, invest in a fellow human.
Hop over to a site like Fiverr and find someone to write a series of effective posts for your socials or a handful of articles for your blog. It’ll probably cost you less than £30. And if you find someone good, you could work out a long-standing arrangement.
Honestly, it’s safer than putting all your eggs in the AI bubble basket.
Your business content will be leaps and bounds more impactful coming from an actual writer instead of a bot.
And content that impacts produces results.
